Research & Analysis
The Research and Analysis Team is responsible for reviewing public retirement systems’ financial condition, ensuring retirement systems’ compliance with Texas reporting requirements and conducting research on pension-related topics. Duties include examining retirement system reports, performing financial analysis, and providing technical assistance to retirement systems. The Research and Analysis Team also assist the Staff Actuary with actuarial analysis.
Training & Accreditation
The Training and Accreditation Division is responsible for the agency’s educational programs, including developing and administering the Minimum Educational Training (MET) Program for trustees and system administrators. The Training and Accreditation Team develops the PRB’s training, accredits other MET training providers, and tracks and reports compliance with MET requirements.
